Jacinta Ligon is an American designer best known for her European style and couture details. she also deems herself an “avant garde” designer, due to her ability to manipulate fabric and use of non traditional textiles to create her designs.

 As stated by Jacinta “ I think of myself as an architect of fashion, I build garments,. I create a blue print in my head then I build it..... “ 

Jacinta’s creations are sought after from photographers, stylist, artist, blogs and many more. But Jacinta loves the fact that everyday people love her creations, “ I’m shocked when I get a request from someone to purchase something I think of as art, not really thinking someone would want to actually wear it..... lol.”  “I am also amazed about the many people that contact me and say I’m an inspiration to them, one young girl said I saved her life, she said she had a reason to live after she saw my designs and saw that I was a black woman. ‘’ (Jacinta). 

Jacinta realizes she is more than just a designer,  she creates with thoughts of  “what can they see in this?, what can they get from this? is this inspirational?”. Jacinta is not just a designer, but a teacher,  innovator,  and mentor to many.  “I realize this is not just about me, I have people that look up to me,  maybe even depend on me,  I can’t let them down” (Jacinta)
